HighwayIQ Ltd is an independent UK software company. We build analytical tools for the people who keep roads open while they are being dug up.
Why HighwayIQ exists
Since 2020 every highway authority in England has used Street Manager to manage streetworks. It handles the transaction well: applications, permits, notices. What it doesn’t do is think about permits together: which ones clash, which break a restriction, which are overrunning and what that costs.
That analysis happens in coordinators’ heads, in spreadsheets, and too often after the event. HighwayIQ does it automatically, as each permit arrives, from the same open data Street Manager already publishes.
How we work
- Built alongside coordinators. HighwayIQ is developed with a working streetworks team at a county unitary authority, on live data, every day.
- Transparent. Our methodology is public. If we can’t explain a number, we don’t show it.
- Independent. We are not part of any permit system supplier, utility or contractor, and HighwayIQ is not an official government or council service.
- Complementary. We add analysis on top of your existing systems. There is no migration and nothing to replace.
